RAFFAELLO PAINTER AND ARCHITECT
Raffaello Sanzio (Urbino, March 28 and April 6, 1483 - Rome, April 6, 1520) was an Italian painter and architect, among the most famous of the Italian Renaissance.
Raphael was born in Urbino in 1483, learned probably the first drawing and painting lessons from his father, that at least the eighties of the fifteenth century was the head of a flourishing studio, engaged in the creation of works for the local aristocracy and the ducal family
On 1 August 1494, when Raphael was eleven years old, his father died.
Then the young artist came to be in the workshop of Perugino.
Our Lady of Saints Home is a fresco (97x67 cm) attributed to Raphael Sanzio, dating from around 1498 and preserved in the Holy House in Urbino. It is one of the earliest works assigned to the artist, then just fifteen.
In 1499 Raphael, sixteen year old, he moved with the aid of his father's workshop in Città di Castello, where he received his first independent commission: the banner of the Holy Trinity for a local brotherhood that he wanted to offer a devotional in thanksgiving for the end a plague that year

Towards the end of 1508 the call came for Raphael in Rome that changed his life had just twenty-five anni.A thirty years Raphael was the owner of the more active painting workshop in Rome, with a host of aid initially dedicated themselves essentially in the preparatory work and finishing of paintings and frescoes.
